Zenith Bank Named Nigeria’s Best Bank at Euromoney Awards 2025

Zenith Bank Plc has been named “Nigeria’s Best Bank” at the prestigious Euromoney Awards for Excellence 2025, held on Thursday, July 17 at The Peninsula, London. The award recognises Zenith as the top-performing financial institution in Nigeria, applauding its innovation, service delivery, and shareholder value.
The award highlights Zenith Bank’s resilience and leadership in a competitive field of over 770 global entries, including HSBC, Citibank, DBS, and Barclays.
Group Managing Director, Dame (Dr.) Adaora Umeoji, dedicated the honour to customers, staff, and the bank’s founder, Jim Ovia, CFR, describing the win as “a validation of the trust our customers place in us.”
She expressed gratitude for the award, stating it's a testament to the bank's commitment to excellence and the trust placed in them by their customers. 
Doctor Umeoji further emphasized the bank's dedication to supporting economic growth and upholding high standards of transparency, governance, and integrity. 

This latest recognition adds to Zenith Bank’s long list of accolades, including being Nigeria’s Number One Bank by Tier-1 Capital for 16 consecutive years, and consistent wins across global rankings for governance, digital innovation, and sustainability.

Trump signs executive order targeting ticket price reselling

  President Trump signed an executive order targeting the ticket reselling industry during a signing ceremony from the White House. The new order will allow the Justice Department and Federal Trade Commission to go after the reselling industry, which has used computer bots and algorithms to buy large blocks of tickets and resell them at extremely higher prices.  Musician Kid Rock, who also appeared at the Republican National Convention last July, was present at the signing in the Oval Office.  The president also took several questions from the press, including on the possibility of additional sanctions on Russia, immigration, and tariffs. “I’ve spoken to him over the years about it and it bothers him,” Trump said about Kid Rock during the executive order’s signing. “It bothers a lot of other artists.
