47 Men are on Trial for Homosexual Acts in Nigeria.

                   Image Courtesy pixabay/SatyanPrem/445images The police in Lagos State have arraigned 47 men before a Federal High Court for allegedly engaging in romantic gay affair .  They were arraigned at about 4.12 p.m. on Wednesday on a one-count charge of engaging in a gay relationship. Nevertheless, all the accused pleaded not guilty to the charge were  granted them bail in the sum of N500,000 each with two sureties each in like sum, one of who must be a civil servant on Grade Level 10, and the other with a legitimate means of income to be verified by the court.  The case was then adjourned till December 11 . Meanwhile, Amnesty International has called for cases to be dropped as men face 10-year sentence under anti-gay laws.  Mr Seun Bakare,  Amnesty International’s Nigeria programmes manager  called for civil society organisations to scale up their advocacy and ensure “these ridiculous charges against these men be dropped”, according to  The Irish Times in an em

South African Police Constable Found Guilty Of Killing Nigerian

Officer Austin Luciano Reynold, a South African police constable, has been found guilty of the murder of Ebuka Okoli, a Nigerian. Okoli was shot by a young police constable in Durban on 19th January 2018 . He was reportedly shot at close range during an unofficial raid by the 24-year-old Reynold on the community where he resides. During the trial on Friday, Shyam Gyanda, the presiding judge, found the officer guilty on all four charges preferred against him — one charge of murder and three charges of robbery.

Trump signs bill making animal cruelty a federal felony

                                                                                                 Image Courtesy PrintSilhouette                                                                     President Donald Trump has endorsed a bill that makes certain acts of animal cruelty a federal felony, saying it's important for the nation to combat "heinous and sadistic acts of cruelty." The Preventing Animal Cruelty and Torture Act [PACT] prohibits extreme acts of cruelty when they occur in interstate commerce or on federal property.  The bill was passed and supported by the Senate harmoniously  on Nov. 5.   After Senate approval, the bill was sent to the president's desk for signature. "Passing this legislation is a major victory in the effort to stop animal cruelty and make our communities safer," Sen. Pat Toomey, R-Pa., said earlier this month when the bill, which Toomey sponsored along with Sen. Richard Blumenthal, D-Conn., passed in the Senate. &

Why Uber may not be granted a new licence to operate in London

  Transport for London on Monday said it  would not grant Uber  a  new   license  in London after repeated safety failures.                               TFL said the taxi app was not "fit and proper" as a licence holder, but  acknowledged that Uber had made efforts to address some safety concerns. Helen Chapman, Director of Licensing, Regulation and Charging at TfL, said: "While we recognise Uber has made improvements, it is unacceptable that Uber has allowed passengers to get into minicabs with drivers wh o are potentially unlicensed and uninsured." " The  American multinational ridesharing company  will appeal within 21 days  and can continue to operate during that process, a bout 45,000 drivers work for Uber in London. TfL stated firmly that it had identified a "pattern of failures" that placed passenger safety and security at risk.             Tesla has said the "Cybertruck," which starts at $39,900, will be in production in 2021. The tesla CEO,Elon Musk says Tesla has received nearly 146,000 orders for its new electric pickup truck since the automaker revealed the  revolutionary  vehicle earlier this week to mixed reviews. Musk said 17% of the orders are for the single-motor model, 42% are for the dual-motor version and 41% are for the tri-motor model.

Allen Onyema denies fraud, money laundering allegations by the United State Attorney
