10 dead, dozens injured in Kenya anti-govt protests

Protesters in Kenya clashed with police on Monday during Saba Saba Day demonstrations despite heavy security, roadblocks, and business shutdowns across Nairobi.
The rallies, marking the 1990 pro-democracy uprising, saw teargas, looting, and chants of “Ruto Must Go” amid growing anger over economic hardship and police brutality.

Ten people died across Kenya during anti-government demonstrations on today, a rights group said, and more than 500 were arrested  according to the country’s National Police Service.

About 80 people have died in protests since June 2023, fueling ongoing unrest.
