Over 600 people have fled to Azerbaijan from Iran

More than 600 foreign nationals have fled Iran into Azerbaijan since Israel launched strikes on June 13, targeting nuclear and military sites.
A government official in Baku confirmed the evacuees—citizens of 17 countries—entered via the Astara checkpoint and are being flown home from Baku.
Countries with nationals evacuated include Russia, Germany, the U.S., China, and several Central Asian states. Poland also announced plans to evacuate some embassy staff through Azerbaijan.
Israel's attacks, aimed at halting Iran’s alleged nuclear ambitions, have killed at least 224 people. Iran’s retaliatory strikes have left 24 dead in Israel.
