Lionel Messi Helps Inter Miami Beat Los Angeles FC

Lionel Messi systematized Inter Miami to beat MLS champions Los Angeles FC 3-1 at BMO Stadium. Facundo Farias, Jordi Alba and Leonardo Campana scores frustrated Ryan Hollingshead's intention for the hosts.
The statement victory against last season's MLS Cup winners puts Miami nine points shy of the play-offs with nine games to play. Since Messi, 36, made his debut on 22 July, Inter Miami have won the Leagues Cup and are unbeaten in 11 fixtures.
The Argentine World Cup winner has scored 11 goals and chipped in with five assists in 11 appearances across all competitions. Inter Miami return to the DRV PNK Stadium in Fort Lauderdale for their next match against Sporting Kansas City on 10 September.

  Arsenal beat  Newcastle  4-1 in the Premier League on Saturday. It was the Gunners' sixth successive victory in the league. They have scored 25 goals and conceded just three in that run. Indonesia stadium stampede leaves 125 dead

  At least 125 people died and 323 injured at an Indonesian football stadium when thousands of angry home fans invaded the pitch and police responded with tear gas that triggered a stampede, authorities said Sunday.  Arema FC supporters at the Kanjuruhan stadium marched onto the pitch after their team lost 3-2 to the visiting team and bitter rivals, Persebaya Surabaya. Officers fired tear gas in an attempt to disperse agitated supporters of the losing home side who had invaded the pitch after the final whistle in Malang, East Java, on Saturday night, the region’s police chief Nico Afinta told reporters. Many of the victims were trampled or choked to death, according to police.  Survivors described panicking spectators in a packed crowd as tear gas rained down on them. President Joko Widodo ordered an investigation into the tragedy, a safety review into all football matches and directed the country's football association to suspend all matches until "security improvements"
