KC Luxury, Two Co-Accused Remanded After Alleged Drug Trafficking Arraignment in Nigeria

A Lagos Federal High Court has mandated the detention of lifestyle influencer and luxury goods merchant Afolabi Kazeem Michael, famously recognized as KC Luxury, alongside two co-accused individuals following their court appearance on allegations of drug trafficking and money laundering.

The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) brought the case, which centers on the illicit attempt to export 184.5 kilograms of cocaine estimated at roughly ₦39 billion.
The accused parties are KC Luxury (Afolabi Kazeem Michael), Boniface Freeman Ochoche Sule, and Ikechukwu Ekugo Patriarch.

The prosecution presented a 22-count indictment addressing conspiracy, cocaine trafficking, unauthorized narcotics shipment, and money laundering. Each of the three accused entered not guilty pleas to all charges on Friday, September 25, 2026.

According to the NDLEA, the group coordinated between July 28 and August 1, 2026, to transport the cocaine—hidden across five shipments via a Lagos-based delivery and logistics company—destined for London, the United Kingdom. 
KC Luxury, aged 49, was first apprehended on August 13, 2026, in the departure lounge of Lagos's Murtala Muhammed International Airport as he prepared to depart for Paris, France.

Following the court hearing, the defendants' legal representatives sought release on bail. The judge determined that all three would remain in NDLEA custody and scheduled October 2, 2026, as the date to make a decision on their bail petitions.
