Sandy Springs police offer $10K reward to find home invasion suspect

GA- The Sandy Springs Police Department is offering a $10,000 reward and additional funds for information that leads to the arrest of 23-year-old Jermaine Caldwell, who is wanted in connection to a home invasion that happened on Octtober 1. 

Police said the suspects held the victims at gunpoint and threatened to kill them. The suspects stole several personal belongings, the victim’s phones and their two cars

Police later tracked down and arrested the suspects: Robert Gunter (18, Atlanta), Norman Thompson (22, Union City), Darryl Johnson (21, Atlanta), Contaiovus Howard (24, Union City), Jude Morgan (24, Atlanta), Montavious Goodwin (22, Union City) and Azhanee Scott (22, Atlanta).

The lone suspect not in custody is Caldwell. He is wanted for conspiracy to commit, home invasion, aggravated assault, false imprisonment, possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony and theft by taking. There is a $10,000 reward being offered.

Indonesia stadium stampede leaves 125 dead

  At least 125 people died and 323 injured at an Indonesian football stadium when thousands of angry home fans invaded the pitch and police responded with tear gas that triggered a stampede, authorities said Sunday.  Arema FC supporters at the Kanjuruhan stadium marched onto the pitch after their team lost 3-2 to the visiting team and bitter rivals, Persebaya Surabaya. Officers fired tear gas in an attempt to disperse agitated supporters of the losing home side who had invaded the pitch after the final whistle in Malang, East Java, on Saturday night, the region’s police chief Nico Afinta told reporters. Many of the victims were trampled or choked to death, according to police.  Survivors described panicking spectators in a packed crowd as tear gas rained down on them. President Joko Widodo ordered an investigation into the tragedy, a safety review into all football matches and directed the country's football association to suspend all matches until "security improvements"
