Army Officer Who Allegedly Led Soldiers To Kill Lekki Protesters.

Nigerian soldiers fired at the protesters who had gathered in the Lekki territory of Nigeria’s largest city on Tuesday.
The protests, organised under the #EndSARS hashtag, began with calls to disband a notorious police unit, the Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS), which has long been accused of extortion, torture and extrajudicial killings.
Gboyega Akosile, spokesman for the governor of Lagos state, said in a Twitter post that authorities had ordered an investigation.
Hours after the the Lagos State Government had announced the imposition of a 24-hour curfew in all parts of the state, with effect from 4 pm Tuesday, October 20, 2020, staff of Lekki Concession Company (LCC) were caught on tape removing all the CCTV mounted on the tollgate and some unknown persons turned off all the street lights, throwing the tollgate into all darkness.
The military arrived Led by one Gen F.O Omata, formerly of Special Task Force Operation SAFE HAVEN and currently 81 Division Training Officer, and ordered protesters to go home.
But, in a Twitter post, the Nigerian Army said no soldiers were at the scene of the shooting on Tuesday night.
