Protests Turn Violent: Police Cars Damaged In Atlanta Georgia.

Officials including Atlanta Mayor Keisha Lance Bottoms and police Chief Erika Shields held a press conference with civil rights leader Andrew Young and Killer Mike.

They advised people to go home and stop damaging businesses.

"If you care about this city, go home," Bottoms said.

The United States said Monday it was revoking visas for the British punk-rap group Bob Vylan, which led a chant at the Glastonbury festival calling for death to the Israeli military. Deputy Secretary of State Christopher Landau said that the United States has “revoked the US visas for the members of the Bob Vylan band in light of their hateful tirade at Glastonbury, including leading the crowd in death chants.” “Foreigners who glorify violence and hatred are not welcome visitors to our country,” he posted on X. President Donald Trump’s administration has aggressively revoked visas, mostly of students, over anti-Israel activism. Bob Vylan, a London-based duo combining punk riffs and hip-hop delivery whose lyricism often tackles racism, led a chant of “Death to the IDF,” the initials of the Israel Defense Forces, at the celebrated music festival. The Ondo State Government has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Backbone Infrastructure Limited for the establishment of a 500,000 barrels per day oil refinery in Igbotiri, Ilaje Local Government Area of the state. The signing ceremony took place at the Governor's office in Akure. The Secretary to the State Government, Dr. Taiwo Fasoranti, described the proposed investment as timely and strategic, assuring the investors of a peaceful and business-friendly environment. He emphasized that the project would boost the state's economy, create meaningful job opportunities, and reduce crime. The Managing Director of Backbone Infrastructure Nigeria Limited, Mr. Henry Owonka, revealed that the refinery would be accompanied by basic infrastructure such as roads, terminal storage tanks, and others.
