Why I combine singing with Humanitarian services - Rachael Owojori.

By Oluseye Arowolo, Ibadan -Nigeria.

A Nigerian based in Canada, who is a trained nurse by profession and a gospel singer, Evangelist Rachael Owojori bares her mind on why she combine being a nurse with singing to win souls for Jesus Christ, embarking on Humanitarian services, her experience with music promoters among other vital issues.

Rachael Owojori is an household name in gospel music circle both in Nigeria and in diaspora.

According to her, the two main purpose of being a gospel singer is to win souls for Jesus Christ and give back to the society, especially, the less privileged through humanitarian services unlike other singers who cherish amassing wealth by building mansions and riding exotic cars.

Rachael Owojori revealed that she has dedicate her life to putting smile on the faces of the less privileged and evangelize through her ministration in social gathering, concerts and churches.

Recently, she featured in series of gospel singer in Canada and other countries.

Speaking about her new single;

Rachael Owojori expressed gratitude to the Almighty God for the grace, support from friends and families as well as fans both in Nigeria and in diaspora.

Her words;

"This song is more than just music—it's a prayer of commitment.

God inspired me to compose ‘Give Me Jesus’ during a time when I was urged to stop singing about God and Jesus to attract a bigger audience and achieve fame..

" I stood firm in my beliefs and refused to compromise because I know that fame, money and pretty much, everything without Jesus is nothing.

I find true contentment in my relationship with Jesus and hope that it touches hearts and encourages people to seek peace, hope and strength in Him.

.

"Although, I have faced various challenges due to my Christian faith, one notable experience was when a record label approached me with an offer to become one of their artists..

The condition, however, was that I would not sing about God or Jesus and I declined the offer. While I have encountered different challenges as a Christian, nothing compares to what our brothers and sisters endure when they are tortured and killed for their beliefs.

We must therefore continue to pray for our brethren who face persecution day and night". Rachael Owojori stated.

After releasing the new track, Rachael Owojori diversified the song into another dimension of music.

She has this to say about the diversification;

"God ministered to me to put the track into the country gospel music version titled 'Give Me Jesus.

'It is a heartfelt country gospel rendition that beautifully blends the soul-stirring message of devotion with the warm, acoustic tones of country music.

'With gentle guitar strums, harmonies rich in emotion, and a deep spiritual longing woven into every line and it offers a peaceful, down-to-earth cry for more of Jesus in this world.

'Ideal for quiet reflection, worship or moments of personal prayer. It's a reminder that, above all else, what the soul truly needs is Jesus,' Owojori stated.

Rachael Owojori is the Choir Director in her church, The Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) Heaven’s Gate in Saskatoon, Canada, where her husband, Dr. John Owojori is an Assistant Pastor.

She has released about 16 songs including full be albums ranging from her popular songs; 'Jesus Calls me friend', 'Let's Praise Him', 'Odun Tuntun', 'The name of Jesus' and her new single; 'Give me Jesus' among others.
